Transforming Lives to Transform the World”: that is our mission.
At first glance, the statement may not seem to express anything tangible, however, the truth of the matter is that transformation is as real as breathing. Our staff witness it every day in the lives of the students in our program. This transformation occurs in many ways: from their work achievement, to the improvement of their attitude, but more importantly in the renewal of their minds (Romans 12:2) and hearts which results in a new worldview; a biblical worldview.
One of the best symbols of transformation we have experienced here at TLC is from the work of James Fairchild, a TLC Alumni. A 1935 Auburn was donated to TLC and James did an amazing job transforming it from the inside out. The process took time, perseverance, commitment, and the ability to see the car for what it could be. This is the same process of transformation that the students in TLC’s program go through mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. The car was fully restored through the skill and dedication of James Fairchild, the same skill and dedication that allowed James to complete the TLC program in September 2015 and transition down to House of Hope.
This is the story of hope, restoration, and purpose that each student has the opportunity to discover for their own life while at TLC.
We are looking to auction off the restored car. All proceeds from the car will go to scholarship students in the program and fulfill our mission of transforming lives to transform the world.
